Setting: A typical day at the Cooper Diner. Frank is getting ready for work. Eleni is helping Buzz and Jenna in the kitchen and Harley, sick of fighting with Phillip and her family over wedding plans, has gone up to the roof to get some air. She is being watched from the shadows. Buzz is cooking chili on the stove. Buzz: "This is a slap in the face to my Greek ancestors. Chili in a greek diner? I might as well sell out all the way and just serve cold grilled cheese sandwiches and lukewarm Coke like everyone else." Eleni: "Buzz, we get lots of kids in here during their lunch break. We need to serve the kinds of food they want to eat, not what we want to cook." Buzz: "If I had ever asked my mother for a burger on Mousaka night, I'd have gotten knocked flat out. Did I ever mention her before? She had one Hell of a right hook." Jenna: "Dear, why don't you put the chili pot on the front burner? It will be easier to stir." Buzz: "The Coopers have always been back burner people. Isn't that right, Frank?" Frank: "Huh? Oh, yeah Dad." Buzz: "Sometimes we aren't even on the stove." Eleni: "Is something wrong Frank? You look upset." Frank: "It's Teri. Yesterday I found her with a cardboard mask that looks like Annie Dutton. She was looking at it and laughing hysterically." Eleni: "Where did she get that?" Frank: "I don't know, but Marina really wanted to be Annie for Halloween and all the stores I checked were sold out of Annie masks." Jenna: "Well, Annie WAS one of the scarier things to pop up this year" Buzz: "Well, that and the Tellytubbies." Frank: "She's my partner, why did she hold out on me? At least she coul have let me borrow the thing for one stinkin' night so my kid could enjoy Halloween." Eleni: "Frankie, Marina liked being the hippie this year." Frank: "I know but people kept stopping her and asking if she was supposed to be Abbie Hoffman. She doesn't even know who he was." Buzz: "I loved him in Tootsie and Rainman." Jenna: "Buzz, Darling, I think the chili fumes are getting to you."
