Jeva at Laurel Falls - 9/25/96

Josh has just dragged Reva from Alan's house, half-naked, to Laurel Falls, where they try to fight their feelings for each other, even though their love is so obvious --- September 25, 1996

Josh: "Can you stop talking for 5 minutes? You had no right to be there Reva."

Reva: "Says who? You my lord and master? Not anymore Bud, not by a long shot."

Josh: "You made a fool out of yourself."

Reva: "No I did what you told me to do."

Josh: "I did not tell you to do a strip act for Alan Spaulding."

Reva: "You said the whole thing with the diner is my fault."

Josh: "It is!"

Reva: "And that I had to settle it for myself."

Josh: "I know I said that....."

Reva: "And the only reason that you're mad is because you missed the best part."

Josh: "What, were you dancing in a fountain before I arrived?"

Reva: "Oh go ahead, get your shots in because you always do, never mind the fact that I probably solved the problem once and for all."

Josh: "When has your getting naked solved any problem once and for all?"

Reva: "Alan won't admit it but I shamed him, I shamed him worse then he's ever been shamed before. [Josh dissolves in laughter] And he now knows that he can't wow me back into his bed. And he's probably going to stop going after Buzz and all those other people in the neighborhood first thing tomorrow."

Josh: "When it comes to men you are absolutely clueless, do you know that?"

Reva: "Well I didn't get to be the town tramp by reading books Bud."

Josh: "That's not what I mean Reva."

Reva: "How divorced do we have to be before you stop giving me lectures?"

Josh: "You went to Alan to shame him, right?"

Reva: "Yes I did."

Josh: "Well what would have happened if I hadn't shown up? What would have happened if Alan had called your bluff Reva, where would you be right now?"

Reva: "I'd probably be calling Lorena Bobbitt asking her if she could recommend a good lawyer."

Josh: "Come on, I'm serious here. What if he had taken you up on your offer?"

Reva: "It was never an offer and he knew it!"

Josh: "He's a man! Any man would.......Never mind."

Reva: "If I didn't know better I'd think you were jealous."

Josh: "You are amazing you know that?"

Reva: "You remember."

Josh: "Reva you still think you can use your body to get whatever you want. When are you going to learn that flaunting yourself gets you in more trouble?"

Reva: "I wasn't flaunting myself! I was using what I know works."

Josh: "I don't see the difference."

Reva: "That's because you're a pigheaded judgmental jerk. The same pigheaded judgmental jerk you always were and always will be."

Josh: "Oh like you've changed, I don't think so."

Reva: "No, I haven't changed. I'm still the Slut of Springfield. The same slut you wouldn't take on a date with all your rich friends in Tulsa. The same slut that you never quite forgave for marrying your daddy and your brother. The same slut you left for dead when I drove myself off that bridge in Florida."

Josh: "That's not what I meant. I was worried about you."

Reva: "Well save it. You already had your piece of the pie and I wouldn't give another piece to you if you were the last man on the face of this earth."

Josh: "Yeah well who thinks I want it, huh?"

Reva: "Alan for one, and Annie. That makes two."

Josh: "Alan and Annie each think that I want you back?"

Reva: "In a nutshell, yep. Alan has it in his head that we were fated to be together, no matter what. You remember don't you, always? Alan seems to think that we're using Annie and Buzz to stick it to each other, to see who will hold out the longest. And of course Alan doesn't want to suffer alone so he told Annie his take on things and for whatever reason she bought it and she came running to me. Pretty amazing huh?"

Josh: "Unbelievable."

Reva: "Well that's what I told Annie but trying to get anything through to her these days is downright impossible. So she thinks Alan's right and you have any idea why?"

Josh: "Well, Alan's always been pretty good at getting people to get all riled up. I'm just wondering where he would get that idea in the first place."

Reva: "Since when do you care where Alan gets his ideas?"

Josh: "I'm just curious."

Reva: "Well he probably just made it up, just to cause trouble."

Josh: "Ahhh, I'm thinking I should have beat the daylights out of that guy before I dragged you out of there."

Reva: "Oh no, I'm glad you didn't do that because then he might have thought that he was on to something, which of course he isn't."

Josh: "Hey, listen you don't have to tell me that."

Reva: "No, just tell your wife, because she thinks that you still have a thing for me."

Josh: "Well I hope you set her straight."

Reva: "Oh I did. I told her the same thing that I told Alan. That I wouldn't go sweatin up the sheets with you if you were offered to me on a silver platter with homemade biscuits and gravy and that goes for today, tomorrow and always, you got it Bud?"

Josh: "Yes I got it Reva. And I want to tell you something, I feel the same way about you twice...ten times over."

Reva: "Well good, go and tell that to Annie."

Josh: "Well I'll tell you what, I am going to take out an add in the newspaper that says Josh Lewis swears on his life that he will not want anything from Reva Shayne ever again, now and always." [Jeva's music starts to play]

Reva: "You always have to have the last word don't you Bud?"

Josh: "I'll tell you what, you're the one who's not shutting up here."

Reva: "Are you going to make me?"

Josh: "I could if I wanted to."

Reva: "Oh yeah, how?" [They come thisclose]

Josh: "You know, I have better things to do then stand here and argue with you."

Reva: "So do I."

Josh: "I think we should stay away from each other for a while."

Reva: "As far away as possible."

Josh: "If you want to make a fool out of yourself with Alan Spaulding or any other man, be my guest."

Reva: "Thanks. I will, as long as you just stop trying to save me."

Josh: "You got a deal."

Reva: "Good."

Josh: "And as long I'm staying away from you I would appreciate it if you would stay away from Annie. She doesn't need anybody saying stuff to her that doesn't really mean anything right."

Reva: "My lips are sealed."

Josh: "Keep it that way." [Josh leaves]

Reva: "[loudly] Oh I will Bud. [soft and tearfully] Always."
