Laura Wright

Laura Wright joined Guiding Light on August 1, 1997. She originated the role of Cassie Layne.

In high school Laura performed in several plays including Gypsy, Our Town, and You Can't Take It With You. She appeared in a few local commercials and did some fashion shows. A theatrical agent persuaded her to try out for the daytime drama Loving (later renamed The City). She won the role of Ally Rescott Bowman.

Laura was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Clinton, MD. She is married. Her husband, John Wright, is an architect. She first met him when she was 15 years old. They were married on October 7, 1995. John and Laura have one child, a daughter named Lauren Elizabeth Wright, who was born on November 16, 1998. Laura enjoys basketball, softball, rollerblading, and kickboxing. Laura was born on September 11, 1971.
