Terrell Tilford

Terrell Tilford came to Guiding Light in July 1998. He plays David Grant. Terrell was born on July 22. He is from Los Angeles.

As a child, Tilford was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease (cancer of the lymph nodes). He had surgery that removed the cancer. Tilford has one sibling, an older brother named Bryan. He was raised in Los Angeles and attended Los Angeles High School. Tilford graduated with a BA from the University of California at Berkley and graduated from Rutgers University with an MFA in acting.

Tilford's television credits include appearing on the sitcom Coach and the daytime drama Days of Our Lives. His theatre credits include performing in productions of The Memorandum, Involuntary Homicide, Dutchman, El-Hajj Malik: Malcolm X, Wait Until Dark, The Rivals, and All in the Timing. He starred in the independent film A Lover's Portrait and appeared in the film The Man and Lost Cat.

Tilford enjoys oil painting, collage art, sculpting, and used bookstores.

Fun Facts:

  • Anticipating an important piece of mail, Terrell once ran to get the mail in his apartment building with only a towel on. Along the way the towel fell off and he was noticed by a woman in the building.
  • Terrell loves music including jazz, gospel, R&B, pop, alternative rock, and New Age. He has over 500 CDs.
  • Terrell doesn't have a television.
  • Terrell doesn't like talking on the telephone.
