I met Lisa Brown (Iva snyder) Probably about 6 or 7 years ago in the lobby of the Metcalf State Bank in Overland Park, Kansas. It was summer and I was home from college where I was studying acting. Lisa is, of course, a Kansas City native and she attended high school in my school district! I think this was the summer she was starring in "42nd St" - it was a big deal when she came to KC. Anyway I went up to her and told her I was a fan and she was incredibly nice - she asked me questions about school and wound up giving me great advice about my acting career once I graduated! She talked to me for a good 5 minutes or so. Then she had to go (her kids were waiting in her car.) Then I ran home and oh-so-casually said to my mom (who has watched the show for 30 years) "hey, guess who I was just talking to at the bank?" She was flabbergasted! (and yes I have taken some of her advice.) |
