October 3, 1997 - A few people have asked me about Soap Opera News' interview with Paolo Seganti. Here's the gist of what he said in the article: He felt his own work on the show wasn't good because there isn't enough time to do good work. He said he learned a lot from the great actors on the show. He said he felt his work "sucked" on the show and was surprised that many people liked it. It was my impression that, because of the tight schedule soaps have, he felt it wasn't his best work due to time constraints. The article can be found in the September 30 issue of Soap Opera News.

October 13, 1997 - I've been able to confirm that Martha Byrne is indeed pregnant. Congratulations to her and her husband, Michael McMahon. All though this is still speculation, all indicators point that the pregnancy will be written into her storyline.

Both Carolyn and Richard have written for many soaps and often write together. However, as of yet, no confirmation has been made on who the new head writer wll be.
