Kokotakis studied acting at New York University. His film credits include Silk and The Nutty Professor. He's appeared on the television shows Silk Stalkings, Love Boat: The Next Wave, and Xena: Warrior Princess. Born on April 29 and raised in New York, he also spent many years in Greece. Kokotakis is divorced and has a daughter named Alexandra. Alexandra has mild cerebral palsy. She lives in California with her mother and Kokotakis visits her often, including flying to California every other week to see her. In reference to Alex, Kokotakis said, "She is my universe; she makes the planets circle around the earth. I love what I do, but sometimes you just have to make concessions. I love her.
