Tom Eplin first played Jake McKinnon on Another World in February 1985. After Another World was cancelled the character was moved to As The World Turns' Oakdale. Tom Eplin was born on October 25, 1960 in Hayward, California. He has one brother, Dan, and one sister, Cheri. Tom studied acting at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. His theater credits include Bus Stop and Ben. His television credits include The Facts of Life, 240 Robert, and Private Practice. He appeared in the feature films Discovery Bay, Sunset Strip, and Enchanted Evening. Eplin is a licensed pilot and flies his own plane. He also enjoys sailing and kickboxing. Eplin has been married and divorced twice. He was previously married to Courtney Gibbs' (1991 to 1995) and former AW co-star Ellen Wheeler (1985 to 1988). Honors:
